When Christianne reached out to me just three months before her wedding, I was a bit surprised—it was a first for me, as most brides usually book a year or more in advance. Michael and Christianne had recently gotten engaged and were excited to start planning their big day. At the time we first spoke, they didn’t yet have a venue, which added an extra layer of excitement to their journey. They eventually chose The Penthouse by Ciao Bella as their dream venue, even though it was still under construction. In fact, they were the very first couple to marry at this stunning new urban venue in Hamilton. Despite the tight timeline, everything fell into place so beautifully, and I truly believe it was all meant to be.

From start to finish, their wedding day was a reflection of their unique and thoughtful approach. One of the most memorable moments was when they got ready together in The Penthouse bridal suite. It was such a special way to begin the day, filled with beautiful, intimate moments as they helped each other dress. I stepped back to let them be fully present with each other, capturing every tender moment as it unfolded.

When we first walked into the reception space, I was blown away by the stunning setup—Jennifer and the team at The Penthouse truly outdid themselves. However, with the wind picking up that day, the space was crowded with family members, so we stepped outside to give the team space to finish their preparations.

Originally, we planned to take family photos on the gorgeous balcony, but the strong wind had other plans, making hair a bit wild. So, we quickly shifted to the outdoor patio at Ciao Bella, where we managed to capture both extended and immediate family photos in just 20 minutes! With Christianne and Michael having their daughters as their bridal party, the timeline flowed smoothly, making everything come together effortlessly.

Next, we made our way back upstairs for the ceremony. Guests gathered on the balcony, eagerly anticipating the moment. Christianne’s mom, Mori, designed all the florals, and they were absolutely breathtaking. The white and green blooms created a stunning, natural backdrop for the urban ceremony.

While the wind was definitely the day’s main character, it brought a fun, such fun unpredictable energy. Christianne’s long veil was whipped by the breeze, creating some truly hilarious and joyful moments that perfectly reflected the playful, carefree nature of their relationship. It added an extra layer of charm to the already beautiful ceremony.

We then snuck away to Ciao Bella for a well-deserved cocktail, taking a moment to relax before we headed out for bridal portraits. As the sun began to set, we wandered around the building and explored the vibrant streets of the city, capturing stunning moments in the soft, golden light. The city backdrop added an urban charm to the portraits, with its textured walls, cobblestone streets, and warm hues from the setting sun creating the perfect romantic atmosphere. Laughter echoed between the buildings as we embraced the spontaneity of the moment, making our way through the lively street of Hamilton for some truly unforgettable shots.

It was finally time to celebrate with all their guests, and the atmosphere at The Penthouse was nothing short of magical. The venue exuded a perfect blend of intimacy, romance, and chic elegance, setting the stage for a night to remember. Soft lighting cast a warm glow across the room, complementing the exquisite florals and stylish décor.

As the evening unfolded, Brian Melo and his talented band took center stage, effortlessly drawing guests to the dance floor with their incredible music. The room was filled with lively conversations, laughter, and the joyous sound of dancing feet, creating a vibrant yet relaxed energy. The elegant setting, paired with the carefree spirit of the celebration, made for the perfect way to honor the new Mr. and Mrs. as they kicked off this exciting long-awaited chapter of their lives together.
