WHAT IS FILM?

As a Toronto film wedding photographer, I photograph weddings throughout Toronto, the GTA, and Ontario using a thoughtful blend of digital, 35mm, and medium format film.

On your wedding day, I choose to photograph with both digital and film because each medium brings something unique to your story. Digital allows me to capture moments quickly and seamlessly as they unfold, while film invites me to slow down and photograph with intention. I use 35mm for candid, in-the-moment snapshots and my medium format Pentax 645 with 120 film for soft, dreamy portraits that feel like they belong in an heirloom album.

Film is nostalgic and honest. The tones are rich, the texture is romantic, and there’s a depth to it that simply can’t be replicated. It has an imperfect beauty that makes each frame feel a little more meaningful.

Film is included in every wedding collection because I believe it should be part of the story, not an extra add-on. From the film itself to developing and scanning through a professional lab, everything is thoughtfully taken care of and seamlessly integrated into your final gallery.
