Imagine saying “I do” surrounded by your closest family and friends, in one of the most breathtaking locations in the world—this was the dream that Emily and Isaiah turned into reality at Island Art & Taste in Vari, Greece. And the best part? They brought me along to capture every unforgettable moment. From the very beginning, the day was filled with warmth, laughter, and love, set against the stunning backdrop of the Greek coastline. It was the kind of wedding that felt as relaxed as it was beautiful, and I couldn’t have been more honored to be there.

Although the day started a little later than planned (thanks to a slight hair and makeup delay—yes, an hour behind!), the relaxed pace of Greece made it easy to let go of any stress. Time moves differently there, and with the beauty of the surroundings, I was just happy to be documenting every precious moment. After all, we were in Greece, a place full of magic and adventure.

The bright midday sun was intense as we initially planned to do the first look in front of the chapel. However, with the sun at its peak, we quickly moved to the side of the chapel for some relief. The lighting softened, and I used my longest lens to give Emily and Isaiah the privacy they deserved during their intimate vow reading. It was such a tender moment between them, and I wanted them to be fully present, soaking in the significance of those words without distraction.

As guests started arriving for the ceremony, the atmosphere was electric. Everyone was filled with excitement, eager to witness Emily and Isaiah’s love story unfold in such a stunning destination. The joy was palpable, and it felt like the entire day was bathed in happiness. The ceremony, timed perfectly with the setting sun, was nothing short of magical. The warm glow of the golden hour bathed the couple in light, and the temperature gradually cooled, creating a romantic and intimate setting.

Though the morning had started a bit later than expected, I was up for the challenge. We had only one hour to capture all the portraits—family, extended family, bridal party, and couple portraits—and we made the most of it! While guests sipped cocktails, we had a blast snapping all the must-have shots. Through it all, I made sure the fun never stopped, all while carefully documenting every beautiful detail of the day.

One of my favorite parts of the day was the opportunity to use the stunning chapel as the backdrop for the bridal party portraits, and the sunset served as a perfect complement to the already picturesque location. But the real magic happened when we snuck away to Island Art & Taste’s secret private beach. The moment we stepped onto the beach, I knew we were about to capture some of the most breathtaking bridal portraits I’d ever taken. With the ocean breeze in their hair, and the soft waves crashing nearby, these images will forever be some of my favorites.

After all the portraits were wrapped up, it was time for everyone to enjoy the delicious Greek food and soak in the beautiful evening. The reception was incredibly romantic, with the sound of the ocean waves and the soft flicker of candlelight setting the perfect mood. Emily, ever the fun-loving spirit, shared a traditional Czech dance with her dad, bringing energy and joy to the celebration. The DJ took over afterward, and the dancing continued well into the night, with guests grooving until 3 a.m. It was hands-down one of the most relaxed and fun weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting.

For me, this wedding meant more than just another beautiful day behind the lens. Emily is not just a client—she’s a dear friend, and witnessing her marry the love of her life in this magical place was something truly special. Watching them share this moment together, surrounded by their loved ones, reminded me of the power of love, laughter, and lasting memories.

In the end, Emily and Isaiah’s wedding at Island Art & Taste was an experience I will never forget. The breathtaking location, the heartfelt moments, the incredible guests, and, of course, the bride and groom—everything came together to create a celebration of love that was as relaxed as it was stunning. If I could shoot weddings like this every day, I’d be one happy photographer. It’s safe to say that after this unforgettable day, everyone should have a destination wedding in Greece.
